Here’s our edit from our demo last weekend in Chelsea Piers. That park is super fun. Thanks to everyone who came out!

Due to the Long Beach event being canceled we switched it up and headed over to Chelsea Piers to skate their park. They’ve renovated that whole area and the skatepark is super fun. Tony and Kevin skated the bowl while a bunch of the guys skated the street area. Crowded as it was, everyone still got some tricks in.

The ramp went up Thursday in anticipation and preparation for the demo on Friday. Elliot Sloan, Mitchie Brusco, Kevin Staab, Jesse Fritsch, Neal Hendrix, Sandro Dias, and Tony Hawk skated in front of an estimated crowd of over 4,000. Right in front of The Standard hotel where the nights festivities would begin, the demo went off with out a hitch. Despite a little wind everyone skated really well and had a great time. Hopefully we’ll get to do this next year.

Due to Irene we had to head off course to Columbia, SC where we filmed a little edit at a skatepark there.

Oh man, seems like just yesterday we had a demo at frederick skatepark with the Pitcrew family. Such a good time. Check the edit for proof.

We had such a good time with the Pitcrew family in Frederick, MD. The Hill park is pretty fun too. Those guys help throw a good time and are kings of hospitality. Shawn Hale won the demo and the footage should prove it. Kevin skated the bowl most of the time while the rest of the crew including Tony skated the street and quarterpipes. David frontside aired the main quarterpipe and ended the demo. Wait until the footage comes out to see that one.

See what I did there? A little alliteration. Here’s the video. Notable parts are anything Riley did, Clint’s crook into the bank, and Willy’s frontside flip.

After driving in from Columbia, South Carolina, today we skated Double Decker skatepark in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It’s a massive indoor park with everything you want. The temperature was nearly 100 inside though. The guys killed it and Riley gets a well deserved MVP of the demo.

Decided to get some sleep after getting in late last night from our drive through Alligator Alley from Miami. Once everyone was up we packed up and headed over to The Bricks in Ybor City for some food. The Bricks is run by the Skatepark of Tampa crew and they do a great job at hosting a ton of events. After lunch we decided to get over to the skatepark early so the guys could warm up and skate around with the kids before the demo started. It was raining all through lunch so it was looking unlikely that Tony and Staab would get to skate the vert ramp. Luckily the sun came out about 45 minutes before the demo started and dried up the huge puddles. Tony took to the vert ramp along with Kevin Staab and a group of locals and some of the Birdhouse skate team. Afterwards we had a quick product toss and decided to get on the road. A huge thanks goes out to Clements and the guys at Skatepark of Tampa for their hospitality. Nobody does it like them.
